I just received my SCD-777ES from J&R (Placed order on Wed, when J&R was out of stock, J&R got new shipment, & I received it the following Thurs).I have heard about very long break-in times (200-300 Hrs). Does the break-in track on XLO/Sheffield Labs' test and break-in CD speed up the process? Is it effective to run this CD in repeat mode constantly for a week or two (with breaks to hear actual music) without the upstream pre-amp and amp powered up? Or does the CD's output stage need a powered up pre-amps' input for effective break-in?
