I do have a hand held unit, I also have the Sheffield burn in and demag CD, which seems to have the same effect as you describe. Playing the CD seems easier, no?
I am in the process of selling my speakers so they are at a dealer, can not try it right now.
Do hope you are not one of the skeptics trying to have me on.....
