As I already pointed out, the test for one speaker out of phase with the other is essentially the same as for when both are out of phase/ploarity. See B for XLO Out of Phase Test I posted. So the guys voice in the video would sound diffuse and distant for either case. The problem with the OP question is the answer won't tell you what you really need to know. Which is are both speakers in same polarity AND is the system in correct polarity. So you need a way to check system polarity Then when playing a disc you can determine if the disc is in the correct polarity or not by switching the polarity switch back and forth and *listening.* As I also intimated before that is why high end polarity switches, e.g., Crump-Curl Blowtorch, aren't marked for correct vs reverse polarity. Everything is relative. You could have both speakers in reverse polarity, that would be fine half the time if it's true 50% of CDs are in reverse polarity, which probably actually isn't true.
