Mu suggestion was only for you to see if your system was resolving enough to provide the spacial cues that MIGHT be in the music you enjoy. Once you knew if your system could provide the proper placement of performers side to side and front to back, then you could know that if your music does not give you that perspective, you would know that it was a recording problem and not your gear.
