Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Yes, but again, recording quality is NOT format specific! IT IS, DIGITAL OR ANALOGUE, TWO DIFFERENT FORMATS.

Yeah, too many bad sounding CD exist (same w/LP), however you're rants are farrrrrr too dismissive of the many excellent and natural sounding CD's also in reach. And in doing just that; you've pigeon holed/condemned the entire CD format unfairly. INDEED DIFFERENCES ARE MINOR BUT NOT FOR THOSE WITH GOOD EARS AND EXPERIENCE. LISTENING FATIGUE IS THE BEST CRITERIUM. BAD RECORDS/CD'S GO STRAIGHT TO THE BIN, EXCEPT MUSIC I LOVE NOT AVAILABLE OTHERWISE.

I can list many CDs that NATURALLY (no artificial reverb) morph the walls of my living room into a much larger venue. I've also got many same LP and CD versions, which literally sound identical to each other.

Yeah Yeah Yeah, certainly, my analog rig offers potentially superior resolution; but that still depends entirely on the quality of the pressing/recording.OF COURSE, AN OPEN DOOR. And please note, my Sony W66 professional recorder copies my so called "superior" LP's in near all there sonic glory, you'd be very hard pressed to tell any difference in a direct comparison ... so obviously redbook - recorded properly - isn't the evil empire you continually suggest.I NEVER SAID 'EVIL' MY ONLY RANT IS 'DIGITAL' IS A SETBACK IN SOUNDQUALITY AND GOOD ACCEPTABLE DIGITAL IS VERY, VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE TO ACHIEVE AND THEN IT'S ALWAY'S INFERIOR FOR REAL MUSICLOVERS WITH MOUSE'S EARS. setback's soundwise in the past:

Stereo, Quadro, transistoramp's, CD's, multichannel, DVD's, streaming services.
Time for music and some marie-huana.
