Perhaps, but if perceived DOF remains identical when demonstrating an identically mixed CD with it's related LP ... nothing then is seemingly being manipulated, correct?

Or in my experience, many speakers w/multiples of drivers also demonstrate a certain phaseyness (not a word I know) which makes DOF almost impossible to differentiate. But that's yet another discussion ... early CD pitched far more balls than strikes.
