RE: About depth of field with digital

Hi and thanks a lot for the very valuable advice.
I have this track ... to test the soundfield depth from Sheffield Labs
It is a very reliable tool.
Most of the time the result is very flat.
No problem with the L to R perspective ... but no depth at all.
When the two speakers talk at different distances from the mic they seem standing in the same spot.
The day i will get depth i am done. Seriously.
All the other things will follow.
I am also thinking to create a similar track myself with the help of some friend speaking in a room and then changing positions.
A very good rendering of depth is IMHO the most striking evidence of excellent linearity. It is an extremely telling test.
It could be also extremely useful to test room acoustic treatment
i wonder why it not much more popular and common. Really.
Thanks a lot again.
Kind regards,
bg
