Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Depends On Which Recording & Which Music You Try

I have duplicates of some jazz and classical music recordings for which I have sampled on a cheap TT and a cheap CD player.

Overall, with jazz I do prefer listening on my TT. Trio and quartet recordings make up the bulk of my jazz collection. For classical, I much rather listen utilizing my CDP in most every case whether it be trio, quartet, orchestra, etc..

Perhaps it is system synergy but that has been my experience. I'm unsure which type of music he listens to and which CDP he has. But I bet I can knock his socks off with many CDs I have even utilizing a cheap CDP!!!
