Hi inmates,
I would like to invest around $250 for a budget CD changer and, after doing some research, am considering either an Onkyo DX-C390 or a Marantz CC4300.Other than the fact that the Onkyo has 6 discs and can play MP3, is there any advantage in sound quality of one over the other (unmodded)? I am mainly interested in sound quality for redbook CD playback.
I prefer neutral to slightly warm sound and more upfront to dynamic presentation.
FYI, I currently am using a Panasonic F87 DVD/CD/DVD-A changer, which is very neutral and detailed but a bit too laid back in its presentation. My integrated amp is Cayin TA-30 (with Auricaps).
Cheers!
