Re: Marantz CD-17 mkIII and the state of Marantz in the US

I don't know the III, but I know the II. It sounds good (better than anything under $1000). Compared to the original version, it provides compatibility with CD-R and CD-RW, and it has a way better digital filter, reducing twice as much ultra sonic frequencies (above 20kHz).
I didn't listen to the mk-I version, unfortunately.
