If you don't want to use music cd-r's than try a pro-cd recorder such as Marantz's line they accept standard blanks and allow you to dubb from cd to cd digitally w/o the worry of scms copyguard, I use the consumer Marantz DR-17 as my reference deck because it is a superb playback machine as well. I also use a Marantz DR-4050 dual deck for quick dubbs & user friendlyness this consumer cd recorder will allow dubbing but when it detects SCMS it dubbs in analog form but with little sonic difference.
