It's too late to call Marantz, so I thought I'd ask here. There's probably more reliable advice available here anyway.I was running in the Marantz using a cdrw and just repeating recording a cd with it. After 100 hours I decided to see if there was any improvement in sound. So an 80 min. TDK recordable audio disc was put in the machine and I pressed SYNC twice to record the whole cd, including duplicating all the tracks and pauses. Then the digital source was played. All this is according to the manual. When the source is played, in this case a dvd player, which is being used temporarily, the Marantz is supposed to automatically start recording. But it didn't. I tried time and again to get the machine to work using the sync mode, but it wouldn't.
I finally recorded a cd manually, but that put everything on one big track.
Anyone have any clues or suggestions as to what is wrong? Before I started burning the Marantz in, it made recordings in sync mode just fine.
Thanks for any info.
I went ah
