I got a buddy who is in the market of a CD source. He has asked for my opinion between the new Marantz SA17 S1 and pre-owned Sonic Frontier SFCD1 - both are going about the same price.
While I know the Marantz's SACD will beat the heck of SFCD1's redbook, one wonders how would the Marantz's redbook section stack up with the SFCD's? Is anyone acquainted with these 2 units - I am only familiar with the Marantz SACD but not the SFCD?
