Having listened to both the SA1 and the 777, and even living with the SA1 for a few days, I think I'd save the $$ and buy the 777. Both machines sound similar, the differences in build quality are debateable, but the price difference ain't...the Marantz is a LOT more expensive.I think the upper end Sony machines have traditionally represented a tremendous value.
That being said, I own a XA7 and don't plan to upgrade for awhile.
