You can add the word "well formed, well textured" to describe the bass my Farella is giving out :)The Plinius is beyond my budget. Though a lot of people say the Farella matches well with tube, I didn't want to go that route and have tried a lot of SS amp, including YBA Integra DT, AA Puccinni, Cyrus 1 & 3, couple of Yamaha, CJ Pre+ss power, Rotel, Marantz AV, Korsun, Sherwood etc and would say the NAD matches best. Even with a Skiff I tried.
Given a chance, you absolutely must try the YBA + Dynaudio 1.3SE combo. I would say it has the most "tube-like" sound of all the SS setup I heard. The atmospheric ambient is to die-for. I am sorry to say my Farella couldn't hold a candle to that :( You will be surprised that the 1.3SE has as much bass a the much later Farella. My 2 cts.
