Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Re: "Classic Cd Players" , But...

I'd also include reliability factors in this. The SFCD-1, as I can
recall, had some transport problems. Some SCD-1's manifested some
problems in reading TOC from various SACD titles. The new AudioAero's
are also plagued with operational bugs.

I'd also include digital machines from Accuphase. They've been always
pushing the envelope ever since they were created. No operational
problems have been reported either, as far as I can remember.
Expensive in the US, but they can be bought from the far east
at almost half the retail of the US.

For me any audio product, especially those with mechanisms, should not
only be rated on sonics but also on operational grounds.
