I agree with JimLG - stay away from the nad because it had a deplorable (so did other early Nad cdps) build quality, although it was competitive soundwise.I really like the marantz units - in the cheaper price range. They are built to last and do sound a step above the competition IMO.
The 67 is a proven performer - both with longevity and sound quality. ALthough i have never heard the marantz players in a A/B comparison, i think the 6000 is the smoother player with a cleaner top end. Having said that - the 67 is one player i have recommended to people for years - and on hearing the results - it has never failed to please.
I have had plenty 63/67 roll through my system for demo purposes.
