I listen to LP's but have tested the (non-2000) Planet CD player and so far it is the best player I have heard, even some players that cost twice as much did not sound near as good to me, but as I said I listen to LP's and this player sounds very close but it is a deferent sound then some other CD players, also some people do not like the top loading or the looks of this player but these are two things I love about it, at $300 it is a great buy I wish I could find one at that price.
