I'd be interested in such information as well. From what I have heard, the Marantz CD-4000 is built better than the CD-38, but I haven't compared them side-by-side. I don't even think the CD-4000 is marketed in the US. It doesn't appear on either Marantz's US web site or on www.hifi.com, an authorized Marantz dealer. These sites only show the CD-5000 and the CD-6000OSE.By the way, I am hoping to have my Ah! Njoe Tjoeb 4000 in a couple weeks. According to Upscale Audio's site, a shipment is on its way from Holland, and I should be getting one from that batch. I'll post thoughts as soon as possible.
