I have a Sparkler s503 and it is a very good red book CD player. The s503 is discontinued and has been replaced with a better sounding s515. A two box set up a cd player and separate power supply +/-$2000.00. Sparkler is designed and made in Japan by the former head engineer for 47 Laboratory. Like 47 Labs, Sparkler uses a minimalist approach to achieving superior sound. I've owned the more expensive 47 Labs gear and the Sparkler is as good if not better regardless of price.
