RE: Suggestions for a redbook CD player $800-$2000?

If I were buying in that price range, I would pick up a pre-owned high end CD player or transport and pair it with the Gustard x26 Pro frequently talked about here. The Emotiva ERC-4 is a well build balanced CD player with even AES/EBU digital outs. It is also rumored that Schiit is going to release a disk spinner soon.

Or wise shop Ayre or Esoteric.
