Very special. That and the 10 are Marantz's answer, 20 years later ;-P, to the Sony SCD-1 and -777, as one of each has balanced inputs and the other has single ended. As my rig has no noise I have no need for balanced. My speakers are 97 Db / 1 watt, and not even hiss out of the tweeters.
We were listening to the Sarah Vaughn Sarah + 2 CD last night. Sounds as good as most SACDs, and the performance and songs are excellent. I'd much rather have a CD like this than an SACD with great sound but blah music.
