I have a CD-5004 that plays quietly, produces great sound. It's noticeably better sound (cleaner midrange, more solid bass) via analog outputs than the Marantz CD-67SEII that it replaced. That unit works fine except that it no longer responds to the remote (the IR receiver, not the remote, is defective).
