It's not the world's best transport, but now that it's out of the system and is excess equipment I might try some of the 'dampening' mods as suggested in Thorsten's piece in the link below.
If for no other reason than to see how it compares to the DV-9600 which is clearly an upgrade as a stand-alone redbook CD spinner.
