Rischa I totally agree. I ended up sending the Marantz back. It was just way too soft for my taste. I was almost questioning if it was defective after seeing all the great reviews and then to be so disappointed with it. Anyway I have held off on another purchase for now and am using my PC through my Musical Fidelity V-Series combo ( Link, Dac, and PSU ) in the meantime but I still want a new CDP and the 651C remains high on my list.
