Admittedly, this is a "sound unheard" recommendation, but it's based on solid circumstantial evidence:

I have a Piano M1, and it's a well built player, with lovely sound. It uses the Philips 1543 chip.

That said, I'm in the process of trying out an external DAC with it (Schiit Bifrost), and I'm enjoying this experience as well. Still, this takes nothing away from the fact that my Piano M1 is perfectly competent on its own.

I've heard from a reliable source that the Piano M2 sounds even better than the M1. Though it would have to sound *really good* to beat the M1, I have my reasons to believe the above mentioned source.
