If I'm recommending something based only on my reading -- not hearing - I feel I should be at least a bit circumspect with regards to adverb deployment. :)
When I was looking for a new (used) CD player a while ago, I spent most of that time trying to score a JD-100, based on all I had read about it. I'm still very interested in hearing one someday. After some frustrating Audiogon and AA offers to buy (units were already sold, but adverts still active), I stumbled upon an advert for the Virtue Audio Piano M1 I now have. I'm very happy with it, so I'm pleased to use the term "very good" with regards to the M1.
Perhaps someday I'll be able to pick up a JD-100 as well, as it looks like I may soon be one of the few "dedicated CD player dinosaurs" still interested in using such ancient technology. ;)
