Not at all !..:-) I also needed to be a bit more specific as I should have only mentioned the Onkyo as the culprit for the yawning!
I heard a pair of NHT's 2.5 I think back in the mid 90's driven by an Adcom amp and they sounded pretty damn nice.
I'm not a fan of side firing woofers though, I had a pair of Mirage speakers with side firing woofers back in the late 90's and I had all sorts of bass related acoustic problems with them.
I totally agree with what you said on the system synergy etc.. I do however feel the NHT's deserve a better amp than an Onkyo !
As for the Bose thing..I'm strictly a 901 Fanboi..LOL
