I recently sold my old Michael Yee DA-1 DAC, which was--and still is--a very nice sounding DAC. The person who has it now seems very pleased with it.
The DA-1 is a 16 bit DAC, using the Philips TDA-1541A chipset, with no op-amps. I got it in the mid-'90s to use with the Denon CDP I had at the time (DCD-1000, I think), and it really did sound great.
