You didn't define "affordable," but what about a DV-9600 or BD-8002 Blu-Ray player? I used to own the 9600, and it did everything very well. Haven't seen/heard the 8002, but it's received generally favorable reviews. There's one of each on Audiogon right now, the 9600 for $800 and an 8002 for $650. Hope this helps!
