Recommend an Affordable Marantz to Improve on My DV6001

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I purchased the Marantz DV6001 just to have a decent video rig. I am constantly impressed with how wonderful it sounds with 2 channel CD. Very natural and listenable, but still with good heft and incisiveness.

What I might want is a slightly more refined high end and overall quickness.

Marantz Reference line if I win the lottery. What other Marantz would satisfy?
