Are there "audiophile-grade" products based on CS4398 DAC?

One knock against Bryston BDA-1 DAC that I've seen online is its usage of supposedly "mid-fi" DAC chip, shared with some low-budget components (Marantz, Zhaolu etc.).

Any thoughts on this?
