TedThe Marantz is meant to have a memory buffer that holds 4½ minutes in storage. "The marantz seemed to lose almost the full first second"; so that seems like a poorly executed feature.
Here in the US, they are offering a CD walkman & car adaptor kit for the first 500 units.
Is SCMS defeatable ? Can you record on to any blank disc; computer or audio CD-R ?
Can you turn off the sample rate converter & record in directly at 44.1k from CD ?
I am thinking of calling Marantz and cancelling my order, that is unless it has shipped.
Thanks Ted
