"Variations on Decoupling Caps"

I found the link below after a trawl showing the spec differences between the grades of chip.

I have seen variations on the de-coupling caps, anything from 0.1uF to 0.47uF, why is this? It is mainly 0.1uF that are used for pins 7-13 & 18-24, then I saw a shot from an Arcam Delta 70.2 who used 0.22; then from the link you provided the Grundig 8400 gets the 0.47 Wima caps.

Out of interest, what CD player are you using, something with a pair of 1541 S1’s/S2’s?
