Yes, it is easy to fool yourself.I played with the tweak last night. I tried it on a couple of different CDs. On the pop CDs (light orchestration), I thought I heard a slight difference in sound quality. On the opera CD (major orchestration), I thought I heard a major difference.
That said, I'm really not certain whether the difference is real or just in my mind. Maybe it doesn't really matter. :)! I'll play around with some more CDs this evening.
A question: Why should this tweak work? Maybe a different way to put this is: What is broken that the tweak fixes? I know practically zero about digital audio technology, so an explanation would be most appreciated. In the meantime, I'll do some searches and see if I can come up with an answer.
