Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Easy to achieve "good" but for "special"

so many things need to be optimized, I often wonder how all these people achieve it (or do they?)

I have never heard a digital cable (coax, AES, USB) that is sufficiently transparent when directly compared to no-wire, I had to devise ways to get rid of any digital cable in signal path. Wish I could achieve the same with analogue cables, but how?

Power conditioning/regeneration/cords affect the sound quite a bit, and it took a lot of effort and time to get close enough.

Providing clean bits, i.e. digital transport/server, is no trivial matter, a Herculean task the deeper you dig.

Add all that to the fact digital is even more sensitive to old school tweaks like footers, vibration control shelves, EMI/RFI controls, fuses, etc, and we have a real task on our hands.
