Optical Input Sounds a Lot Better (To Me)......

I don't know if it's the coaxial input of this particular DAC or the nature of coaxial S/PDIF in general (I've never liked how this transmission sounded over the years, on any DAC), but I much prefer the optical input on this DAC..... Since my transport (unmodified Philips CDC935 CD changer) has only a coaxial digital out, I use an Audio Technica AT-HDSL1 digital converter to convert the coaxial signal to optical, the improvement to me is quite substantial.

If I listened to this DAC with only the coaxial digital input, my opinion of it would have been a lot lower than it is. I think I would have returned it (to Amazon)...... (Just like what I did with the R26.)
