Hi Ed.I am a Mechanical Engineer and I work for a consulting firm in Portland. My knowledge of audio electronics is self taught and driven by my enthusiasm for the hobby.
You are correct that I don't have the years of experience that Ric Schultz and Stan Warren do...I have never claimed such. I have a lot of respect for them and their knowledge and I have stated this more times than once at The Asylum in support of them as individuals and what they represent and offer audio.
I have not left this forum, but rather have chosen to be more careful with my posts and respectful of The Asylum's rules. Posts like this are not going to keep me from posting here, but I must admit the negative vibe is a bit unfortunate. I am pretty much an open book and if you wanted to know more about me, you could have simply e-mailed me personally.
The mods I offer are what they are...they are not magic...they are in my opinion very beneficial. I have explored what works in my system and with my equipment and have shared all of it openly on The Asylum at one time or another. My professional status is clearly stated in my personal information for all to see on this site.
I don't appreciate the personal attacks and claims about my "getting rich" here.
With all due respect, if you have an issue to address with me personally, then please do so. If you wanted more information about me, there are more tactful ways of doing so. I have shared information openly here with many people and continue to do so. I have learned and continue to learn from others and I continue to pass what knowledge I have on to others in turn. This is all part of what makes this hobby enjoyable.
