Hi CharI bought one of these SACD players recently. I am an LP person, so I didn't have any real prior "experience" with digital. However, I liked the sound on SACD, so I bought the SA8260.
I still don't have a high opinion of Redbook digital in general, although I have to admit it is starting to sound better these days. Do you think the SA8260 is as good on Redbook as some of the fancy (and big $) DACs and upsamplers, etc? My collection of CDs is growing, and I'd like to know how much more I can expect from Redbook, or is the SA8260 as close to the state of the art as it gets?
Any comments appreciated.
