First, many thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I've read a number of posts of your on your experience with different CD players - it's much appreciated.I'll be looking at getting a great red-book player in the next while and the AA Capitole MKII is going to be high on my list to audition - unfortunatly no one carries it locally in Vancouver, BC - so I'll need to make a trip down to Seattle soon. Have you by any chance heard the BAT VK-D5 SE and if so, in your opinion how does it compare to the AA Capitole MKII? Currently, the BAT VK-D5 SE is high on my list.
The attributes I'm looking for in a CD player are a full bodied and well flesh out midrange (leaning to the warmer side is fine), excellent imaging (especially soundstage depth) and good natural dynamics, with a relaxed natural presentation. I'm not so concerned with extracting the last bit of detail. In your opinion, what other CD players should I add on my audition list?
Many thanks in advance for your help and advise.
All the best,
Neville
