861 sounds to my ears the best of this lot, though a combo player...like the Teac (not unlike the Wadia, esp in transport design and a few other feature) now has a multi-format player that is said to be a killer (see Soundtage.) I llke the Accuphase DP77 more than any of the above. The constant upgrading of the Aero is a problem...2 K typically for each new upgrade chip. With subsequent crash of each previous model on the used market. I don't like the preamp sections of any of these better than a good preamp.
