Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

That's true

Adding info (upsampling) can't improve the quality of the recording. That sounds like a deep pile of you know what to me. What using a hard drive does is eliminate the clock timing jitter of typical CD playback. I use a DVD player as a transport (Cambridge Audio) into my preamp which has a built-in 24/96 DAC (Bryston) and get excellent results even without using a hard drive. The better the DAC (the less susceptible it is to jitter) the smoother the sound.
