You're welcome... The terms can be confusing....

This did remind me of an early DAC design that I still think was very interesting.....

The DAC was to be run at absolute minimum supply voltages/power, and maybe stepped down via resistor voltage divider..... The signal would than be stepped up via transformer, kind of like with phono..... I knew someone who heard a prototype of such a design, he told me it was the best DAC he has ever heard........
