RE: DAC for Red Book CD's

I am not familiar with the SQ and sound signature of the Audiomeca Enkianthus X, and you don't describe it so it's hard to make recommendation on that basis. That said, I just got a Border Patrol DAC that I am using to play FLAC files ripped from redbook CDs using dBPoweramp. FLAC files via Roon Nucleus to Think Pad Carbon X1 laptop to Boarder Patrol DAC to Bottlehead Crack w/ Speedball to Audeze LCD-X cans. I am impressed and pleased with the Border Patrol. Very musical and in your price range.
