If there is enough room, you might be able to break the bottom pin section off of an old 9 pin tube and solder a new socket (with rewired pin connections) stacked on top of it as an adapter. That way, you could manually swap out the adapter (without disturbing the delicate PCB) depending on D/A or A/D useage.Just a thought.
