"Depends on the upsampler. The only one that does it for me is the dCS972. Really worthwhile. "Really? I found the dCS to be great for ambience and detail, but it sounded a bit lightweight in the low end. Might have been the amp - used a Nagra tube amp, so I could be mis-diagnosing.
The system used a complete dCS stack (La Scala, Elgar PLus and *I THINK* Verona), too.
