Unless one has high resolution amplification and more important - speakers, there is no use of investing in very good digital front end. I tried few highly regarded inexpensive players in place of my dCS rack and there is no comparison - dCS wins by a huge margin. However, have I had less of an amplifier and speakers - I am sure the defference would have been less dramatic.
