The Audio Note Japan being the DAC with a separate DAC for every bit?
The circuitry alone in such a unit must be prodigious.Is it unacceptable to imagine upsampling as watching a progression: for example, 5, 7, 9, and believing that due to the sampling interval catching only the 5, 7 and 9 that there are actually 6's and 8's inbetween them?
In real life, wouldn't the 6's and 8' be there if we sampled high enough to begin with?
Or is the supposition that instead of a 6 it could be a 3, and instead of an 8 it could be a 12?
