...did you have the same (with and without precision clock) A-B while listening to SACD, not redbook?I am not very familiar with dCS, but it seems to me like they use Sony base for their transport if redbook playback can be affected so much from the clock.
From all of the available SACD players, it is ONLY Sony (and Sony based machines as Marantz SA8260 and Goldmund for example) that processes redbook in real time 44.1/16 as an old CD player, so a super clock will sure make a huge difference.
