I owned my 27ix for almost 3 years, and used it with my Purcell for the last year. I loved the Purcell with my 27ix and every DAC I tried it with. It imparted all the benefits as stated at DCS's website. I somehow liked the Purcell's 24/88.2 over 24/96.The 270 gives you a clocklink connection and also 24 bit output.
The Purcell will give you many tweaking options by playing with its noise-shaping and dithering settings, so it will be more versatile in tuning the sound to your liking. The Purcell is a wonderful piece !Still, at that time, I would have easily traded my Purcell+27ix combo for your Audio Aero Capitole MK2. I guess different strokes for different folks !
